Video game violence and media effects

In the game Counter Strike Global Offensive a French player by the name of Julien Barreaux spent 6 months hunting down a player that killed him in a virtual knife fight. He found his foe and entered his house before stabbing them in the chest. 

In my opinion I think this is a good example of how video games can alter someone into a murderer and how bad video games can be if you play them too much. However tho this doesn’t represent everyone who plays video games since I see it as a way of connecting the world.
